Three Liverpool stars set to depart the club in the summer, it’s a big loss for the Reds

Liverpool star midfielder Naby Keita and two others are set to leave the club this summer, according to a fresh report.

The Reds are in terrible shape right now; their Saturday 3-0 loss to Brighton was just the latest in a season full of dismal efforts.

Surprisingly, Jurgen Klopp regarded the loss on the south coast as one of the worst in his coaching career given that Borussia Dortmund nearly fell out of the top flight during his final season there.

Liverpool, who lost to Arsenal in the Premier League’s top spot by 19 points previous season, are currently languishing in ninth position.

World Cup stars Jude Bellingham and Enzo Fernandez have been linked with high-profile moves to the Merseyside club in recent months, indicating the club’s urgent need for a rebuild.

However, several midfielders are also due to leave the club.
Sources have told Football Insider that Liverpool have pulled the plug on contract talks with Keita.

After missing the first half of the season due to injury, the midfielder has looked very good in his three Premier League appearances this year.

The Reds didn’t want to lose Keita in the summer for nothing, so they talked to him about extending his current contract. However, it appears that no agreement has been reached despite these talks.

Due to his terrible track record with injuries, Liverpool reportedly wanted Keita to accept a pay cut. Since joining the team, the 27-year-old has only used 26% of the league minutes available to him since joining the club.

Given that Liverpool paid £52.75 million for Keita from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2016, losing him for nothing will be a significant financial loss for the club.

He is likely to depart Merseyside alongside fellow midfielders Alex Oxlade- Chamberlain and Juventus loanee Arthur Melo Melo this summer.
