Liverpool new signing Arthur Melo enjoyed another batch of minutes with the U21s team in his quest to build match fitness ahead of the resumption of domestic football on October 1.
In his most recent appearance for Barry Lewtas’ team, Liverpool’s loan player displayed his excellent passing range, creating several chances in the young Reds’ matchup with Rochdale.
Naturally, the Brazilian’s situation against Brighton the following month will be drastically different, but the 26-year-old can only benefit from getting some playing time under his belt and competing for a spot in the starting lineup against Brighton & Hove Albion.
The limitations of a midfield already hampered by a variety of injuries have contributed to Liverpool’s struggles to open up defenses at times this season, so Arthur could prove to be a very beneficial addition in the weeks to come.
