“I want to play for Liverpool” – £45m Moises Caicedo makes final transfer decision on joining Liverpool in the January window
Liverpool transfer target Moises Caicedo is ‘definitely interested’ in joining Liverpool, as the Reds continue their pursuit of a midfield signing in the January window.
Brighton reportedly value their star midfielder at around £45 million, but given that his contract won’t expire until 2025, it’s possible that the Seagulls would demand a higher asking price during this transfer window.
Although the Premier League team claims they have no plans to sell the 21-year-old, a switch in representation would provide the Reds a chance to pounce before the month is through.
If the cited claim is accurate, the Ecuadorian has changed his tune significantly since admitting his fondness for our fierce rivals Manchester United.
But it’s a move we might be willing to make to improve the lack of dynamism in the middle of the field and raise our chances of playing in the top four.
Cody Gakpo’s addition will give us a boost on its own, but we still need someone to inject some energy into the middle of the park. He impressed at both the World Cup and the Eredivisie for PSV this season, contributing 30 goals in 24 games for the latter.
