“We didn’t win one game” – Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp makes a bold Chelsea FC claim concerning the Premier League title this coming season

Chelsea’s manager Jurgen Klopp says they could challenge for the Premier League championship this year.

Chelsea might win the Premier League next season, according to Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool.

The Blues are powerful, according to the German manager, and will contend for the championship the next year.

The German manager expressed his admiration for Thomas Tuchel’s group of players in an interview with ESPN (via Football London), saying:

“When we played Chelsea, we didn’t win one game. And that’s not because we were bad that day. No, we were really good in those games.

“In the end, with the penalty shootout, we could win it, but in 90 minutes, we didn’t. So that shows you Chelsea are incredibly strong.”

In the previous campaign, the two teams met four times. Their two Premier League games both ended in draws.

In both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup finals versus the Blues, Liverpool prevailed via penalties after a scoreless regulation period.

The Blues will try to live up to Klopp’s expectations now that they are a new team thanks to a consortium managed by Todd Boehly buying the club.

Despite having had decent recent seasons, they have generally behind Manchester City and Liverpool in the league.

They came in third place last year, 18 points and 19 points behind champions Manchester City and the Reds, respectively.
