“I am in charge here” Thomas Tuchel and Marina Granovskaia at war over decisions on double deal for £100m Chelsea stars.
Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has blocked the exits of Timo Werner and another Blue player, Marina Granovskaia is willing to ship away to Barcelona, according to reports.
Recently, a number of Chelsea players have been linked with a move to Barcelona.
The likes of Cesar Azipilicueta who was reportedly close to agreeing a deal with the Catalans.
The Laliga giants are said to be interested in signing Blues forward Timo Werner and winger Hakim Ziyech.
The duo have struggled to reach their potential since they arrived at Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2020, costing a combined £100m.
Timo Werner struggled in his debut season at Chelsea, managing to find the back of the net six times throughout the season, and this made the Premier League club spend big in bringing back Romelu Lukaku in the last summer transfer window.
Ziyech on the other hand has found the back of the net just twice this season and has been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
As per Sports, Both players, are on the shortlist of Barcelona’s new signings for new coach Xavi Hernandez.
Also, Chelsea director Granovskaia is said to be willing to loan both players out. She would not want either of them to lose too much resale value by sitting on the sidelines at Stamford Bridge.
However, Tuchel has a different idea and his power should not be underestimated Sports claim. The German would prefer not to weaken his squad midway through the season.
Tuchel prefers to keep Werner and Ziyech at his disposal, even if neither have been particularly outstanding this season. Werner has only started five league games and Ziyech has four league start to his name.
But the depth of the squad is important for the European champions if they want to challenge for titles on all fronts again. So it looks like they are going to block Barcelona’s attempts to sign the duo.
