Report: Liverpool, Chelsea and Newcastle to battle for the signature of ‘Diamond Talent” star Midfielder

Liverpool and Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing French youngster Manu Kone from Borussia Monchengladbach, and now Chelsea has reportedly joined the race.

According to pjournalist Simon Phillips, the Blues have once again set their sights on one of European football’s most exciting young talents, with Chelsea now interested in signing Kone amid recent reports that both Liverpool and Newcastle are also chasing the Gladbach star.

According to a recent report by Fabrizio Romano, Newcastle had a £31 million deal for the 21-year-old “diamond talent” rejected, and Kone is also being targeted by Bayern Munich, PSG, and the Premier League’s two teams.

Kone, who is widely regarded as one of the top young midfielders in the Bundesliga, has made a name for himself this season thanks to his exploits for Gladbach. The talented player, who was born in Paris, is now anticipated to depart Germany this month in exchange for the right offer.

Given how carefree Chelsea has been with their funds under new owner Todd Boehly, there is now seemingly little chance that they won’t do whatever it takes to buy Kone from Gladbach, especially when Liverpool and Newcastle are also interested in the midfielder.

Kone might be a decent addition for the Blues even though the move could be seen as another instance of Chelsea’s American owner purchasing a young potential for show. After all, midfield is an area where the west London club needs to make improvements in this transfer window.

Recent weeks have seen a rise in interest in Kone, and as more reports surface, the battle to sign the young Gladbach player is getting hotter by the day. The midfielder, though, would really be a good signing for Graham Potter’s team given Chelsea and their bizarre universe.

After all, the Blues are in dire need of a midfield overhaul, and now that Kone is on their radar, the west London team may be able to oust Liverpool and Newcastle from the Premier League by securing one of the most exciting players in Europe for that position.
