Reports: Glazers have set a startling massive asking price for Manchester United

The Glazers, who are facing criticism for their ownership of Manchester United, have reportedly set a startling asking price of more than $10 billion for the team.

In 2005, Avram and Joe Glazer paid €800 million to acquire ownership of the team.

However, recent team advancements haven’t exactly pleased Red Devils supporters.

United has had little success since renowned manager Sir Alex Ferguson left his coaching position in 2013.

The Glazer brothers have taken out huge annual payouts for themselves despite not having won any significant championships since 2017, which has infuriated the supporters.

Businessman Jim Ratcliffe, England’s richest man, has tried to investigate the prospect of purchasing Manchester United.

Ratcliffe has a $10.2 billion net worth. Therefore, he won’t even be able to pay the Glazers’ requested amount.

Manchester United will be the most expensive sports franchise in the world after being purchased for more than $10 billion.

NFL team The Dallas Cowboys, with a current estimated value of $8 billion, are the most valued team.
