“That’s the only way ” – Kevin de Bruyne makes bold claims ahead of Liverpool vs Manchester City clash
Manchester City superstar Kevin de Bruyne has called Liverpool an up-and-down team, claiming that the Cityzens are better at being in control of the game.
The English champions Manchester City will travel to Anfield on Sunday to take on the Reds in the Premier League (October 16).

The two teams, who battled it out until the last game of the 2021–22 Premier League season, are now at opposite ends of the spectrum.
The Merseysiders are currently in 10th place with only 10 points from eight games, while second-placed City have accrued 23 points from 12 games and are still undefeated in the league.
The master of Manchester City’s midfield discussed the divisions between the two teams in advance of the tantalizing matchup on Sunday.
De Bruyne asserted that Pep Guardiola’s team was able to maintain total dominance whereas Jurgen Klopp’s team could only dominate in spurts.
When asked what had changed between the two clubs this summer, the Belgian international said (via Liverpool Echo):
“Maybe we have more control of the game, they are more of an up-and-down team and we are a team who has more control of the game, so if you can control that style of play then maybe you have more of a chance.
“Last year I thought we played great but we didn’t win any of the games so sometimes it goes that way.”
The two teams have already met once this season, in the FA Community Shield. The Reds won on that occasion, securing a 3-1 victory over their rivals.
