“It will be totally different” – Watch Jurgen Klopp excited as he makes a bold verdict ahead of Liverpool’s next match against Manchester City

Jurgen Klopp is relieved that Liverpool will face Manchester City after a victory against Rangers on the road in the UEFA Champions League.

Liverpool defeated Rangers routinizingly on Wednesday after suffering a 3-2 loss to Arsenal in the Premier League (October 12).

The Gers suffered a 7-1 defeat thanks to goals from Harvey Elliott and Darwin Nunez, a brace from Roberto Firmino, a hat-trick from Mohamed Salah, and other scorers.

Thus, Klopp’s team has moved one step closer to securing a spot in the Champions League knockout rounds.

With nine points from four games, they are currently sitting in second place in their group, six points ahead of Ajax in third.

Notably, the victory at Ibrox marked the Reds’ first away victory of the season in all competitions.

Prior to their match on Wednesday against Rangers, they have lost three and drawn two of their away games.

In response to criticism of Liverpool’s dismal road performance this year, Klopp joked that it had been a while since he had a beer after a journey.

The Reds’ manager added that the victory at Ibrox will help his team feel more upbeat before their Premier League matchup against Manchester City. At a news conference, he stated:

“It changed the mood, definitely. It is completely different. We usually drink a beer after away games, but it is that long ago that I drank beer and I probably will be drunk after one!”

“Yes, it changes the mood completely and that’s good, but we all know who we are welcoming [to Anfield] on Sunday and this will be a different game, we know that. It is better to go into a game with the feeling we’ve got tonight than any other.”
