Liverpool transfer: Man city superstar Gundogan makes final decision on Liverpool transfer once contract expires in 2023
The possibility of a reunion between man city star Ilkay Gundogan and Jurgen Klopp after his contract with Manchester City expires in the summer of 2019 has been formally eliminated.
In comments to Kicker, as reported on Twitter by Fabrizio Romano, the German acknowledged that he is still “relaxed” about the situation and noted that even Pep Guardiola’s future at Manchester United is uncertain.
Despite having formerly been a brilliant player for the German tactician, it’s safe to assume that fans can count out the possibility that his compatriot will actually receive genuine interest from the Reds’ recruitment team given his age (32).
In order to not just lower the average, but also find someone in the 20–24 age range that we’ve always preferred, we’ll be looking for candidates in this age range.
Given that the contracts of James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita are all slated to expire in 2023, it is possible that all three alternatives may leave the club next summer.
Although Jude Bellingham is at the top of our radar, we could use at least one more senior option and, ideally, a holding midfielder to challenge Fabinho.
