Liverpool secures signing the of £600,000 Celtic teenager star

Liverpool have secured the signing of Scottish International Ben Doak from Celtic, according to reports.

The highly regarded teenager was also a serious target for Leeds United, who offered him a more lucrative deal. However, Doak has decided to move to Merseyside instead.

The youngster’s rise over the last 12 months has been rapid, having only made his debut for Celtic’s B team in December, just a couple of weeks before appearing on the bench against St Johnstone.

Also, the winger has already made 25 minutes across two top-flight appearances, including a cameo in the Old Firm derby win over Rangers in February.

According to reports Celtic tried to convince Doak to stay but the teenager chose to go to Liverpool thanks to the Reds’ Track Record of trusting in youths.

Liverpool will pay around £600,000 in compensation for the player who is able to feature for the Reds’ Academy teams next season.

Doak scored a hat-trick for Scotland’s U17 side against Georgia earlier this week.
