Erling Haaland makes an important summer transfer decision that Liverpool will be buzzing

Borrusia Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland  has reportedly lowered both his salary and agent fee demands as the summer transfer window approaches with Liverpool one of the clubs interested in the striker.

According to Goal via the Sun, the forward is ready to lower his €50m (£42m) agent fee that Mino Raiola was expected to pocket this summer, with the 21-year-old also open to reducing his salary from €35m (£30m) to €20-€25m (£17m-£21m) per season.

It is true that this decision could save the club that eventually signs Haaland this summer millions in fees to agents and representatives and also the wages, with every top elite club in Europe after the Bundesliga superstar.

And one such club is Liverpool, with Mundo Deportivo recently reporting that Haaland is being eyed by the Reds as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who could leave Anfield this summer if he fails to sign a new contract.

With Manchester City, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich also in the mix for Haaland.

This piece of information could draw so much attention to the Borussia Dortmund forward who are willing to get the players signature.

Erling Haaland lowering his financial demands is a big boost for a club like Liverpool, who unlike the City’s and Madrid’s of the world don’t have a very deep wallet to spend from. And this sole decision could see the Reds win the biggest race of all this summer.

Haaland’s move from Dortmund will be one of the biggest of the summer, and for a side like Liverpool, they are now well in the competition to sign the striker with the attacking phenom lowering his financial demands.

Two man race for Haaland in City and Madrid could now potentially extend into a full-on battle from all of Europe’s biggest clubs for the attacker, and for Liverpool, they have a strong chance of signing the forward given what they can offer to the 21-year-old.
