(Video) Watch: The moment Alisson and Henderson exchange angry words during Liverpool’s draw at Chelsea
Liverpool held Chelsea to a goaless draw at Stamford Bridge tonight, this is the second time that scoreline has played out between then in the Premier League this season – won’t live long in the memory.
However, a largely apathetic contest briefly saw the touchpaper being lit as Reds teammates Jordan Henderson and Alisson Becker exchanged angry words during the second half.
The duo were seen angrily arguing with one another in the 76th minute, just after an unconvincing Joel Matip clearance presented Joao Felix with a scoring opportunity for the Blues, only for him to fire over the crossbar (Sky Sports).
Henderson appeared unhappy with Alisson’s involvement in that passage of play and let the Brazilian know it, with Ali squaring up to the number 14 as the two of them shared their respective viewpoints.
The altercation between Henderson and Alisson even resulted in a brief shoulder nudge before the game resumed and eventually ended in a scoreless draw.
Fortunately, it didn’t escalate past a brief exchange of words. Since it’s common to see teammates yelling at one another in football, the two will undoubtedly put the incident behind them quickly and turn their attention to the Arsenal game on Sunday.
Lovely captain. Squaring up to the one player who has kept us from being in a relegation scrap this season ❤️❤️pic.twitter.com/3lIOXuxrzL
