On Thursday night, Granit Xhaka extended Arsenal’s comeback with his third goal of the year, giving the Gunners a crucial 1-0 win over PSV and securing their spot in the Europa League knockout rounds.

Martin Odegaard, who was brought on as a replacement by Mikel Arteta, played a key role in the development of the game’s lone goal, which was scored four minutes after the breakthrough.

When Xhaka was well-positioned and free to move down the right, Takehiro Tomiyasu found him and dished a pass into his path. In the 70th minute, Xhaka applied a first-time finish.

With a victory, Arteta’s team takes control of Group A, meaning they only need one victory from their next two games to clinch first place.
