Fabio Carvalho offers Liverpool summer transfer hint as the reds face huge midfield decisions
Fabio Carvalho offers Liverpool summer transfer hint as the reds face huge midfield decisions.
Liverpool FC January transfer moves may offer a hint into the club’s plans for a potentially busy summer.
The deadline day for the January transfer may have passed but the reds team will continue their work for Liverpool recruitments.
While Luis Diaz the new Liverpool signing will be preparing to adjust to his new environment and Fabio Carvalho thinks about the prospect of a potential Liverpool future, the Reds are already planning for the next window.
And, with Julian Ward taking over full-time from Michael Edwards as sporting director, it’s likely to be significantly busier than in recent years.
The Reds revealed their hand somewhat by bringing forward their move for Diaz and chasing Carvalho.

Pursuing two forward players – even if Liverpool will have to wait until the summer to try again for the latter – will automatically cast doubt over the long-term futures of those already at the club.
Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Roberto Firmino are all now in the final 18 months of their present Anfield deals.
But while Salah remains in negotiations over a new contract – and has made clear his intention to stay – matters have been far quieter regarding Mane and Firmino.
And everything points to the break-up of the established front three potentially being ramped up during the summer
Regardless, few would be surprised if Takumi Minamino and Divock Origi seek pastures new, the imminent increased competition for places heightened by the emergence of the 17-year-old Kaide Gordon this season.
That said, refreshing the midfield will perhaps be the priority in the next transfer window.

James Milner is expected to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season after seven years at Liverpool, with Jordan Henderson assuming the role as the squad’s most senior outfield player.
Decisions will likely be taken over Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the duo will be entering the final 12 months of their deals, and Liverpool is almost certain to not want both to run their contracts down.
