£89m Napoli forward labelled better than Mohamed Salah after claims Liverpool want to sign him
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia of Napoli’s father claims that his son is even more talented than Mohamed Salah of Liverpool.
One of the season’s biggest stars in European football has been Kvaratskhelia. The 22-year-ascent old’s from Georgian football seemed destined to assist Napoli in claiming its first championship since 1990.

This has unavoidably prompted parallels to some of the world’s best strikers, including Liverpool’s own Egyptian King.
Badri Kvaratskhelia, responding to the Naples-based website Calcio Napoli 24, asserted that his son is even better than Salah. What a surprise.
“It’s a wonderful comparison, because Salah is a great footballer who has done extraordinary things with Liverpool and Egypt,” began the Georgian. “But we like Khvicha more! Many say that he’s the strongest, for me he is because I’m the father, but hearing it from others fills me with pride.”
Of course, Khvicha’s dad is more than welcome to his opinion. But until his lad has done what our Mo has in the game, we think there’s only one right answer here. And it isn’t Badri’s.
Liverpool join the queue for Kvaratskhelia
There’s no question that Kvaratskhelia has the potential to be one of the very best forwards on the planet. His pace alone is reason enough for most defenders to be scared of him.
But speed isn’t all the Georgia international has at his disposal. He’s impressively aggressive, has excellent long-range shooting and his ball control is exceptional for one so quick.
For all of these reasons, there remains a real question over his future at Napoli. Yes, Luciano Spalletti’s side are in fantastic form this season and look all set for an historic Scudetto win.
Beyond that though, they still don’t boast the infrastructure of some of the continent’s biggest sides. And make no mistake, they’ll all be interested in Kvaratskhelia should he become available.
According to reports, Liverpool already sit firmly in this camp. Having seen what ‘Kvaradona’ can do up close in the Champions League this term, Jurgen Klopp reportedly wants to add him to the squad.
If Liverpool are serious though, they’re going to have to spend big. As per Goal, it may take as much as £89m to convince Napoli to part with one of their key players this summer.
If he turns out to be anything like as good as Salah, it’d be worth every penny.
