REVEALED; Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp tipped to get ‘Timo Werner smiling’ with unexpected summer transfer
Before Chelsea acquired Timo Werner from RB Leipzig in the summer of 2020, the reds reportedly made an attempt to sign the German.
Former Liverpool and Chelsea right-back Glen Johnson believes he wouldn’t be shocked if Jurgen Klopp tried to sign Timo Werner for the reds.

The German international was expected to join Jurgen Klopp’s team because the Premier League and Champions League champion boss might turn the flop around.
Prior to calling off a transfer in 2020, the Reds had the former RB Leipzig attacker as their top striker target.
But after a year, his time with the Blues appears to be coming to an end, and Chelsea is ready to sell.
Johnson thought it was unlikely that Liverpool would make a surprise play for the 26-year-old.
If Werner played at Anfield, Johnson responded to bettingodds.com as follows:
“I think he would. He’s got a lot to offer. Just at Chelsea, from day one, he’s looked super, super low on confidence.
