Liverpool to table offer for £89m-rated France international as they battle Man United
According to reports Liverpool are to place an offer for a Man United linked striker who’s bagged 28 goal contributions in 29 matches this season.
The Reds have made significant frontline investments in recent years. Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi, and others have left, but they have been replaced by high-profile newcomers Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo.
At the end of the season, other parts of Jurgen Klopp’s team are expected to take precedence. Reds supporters should keep an eye out for two new midfielders and one center-half, according to Fabrizio Romano.
On that front, a huge £190m double deal is taking shape. However, according to German publication BILD, Liverpool’s overhaul won’t end there.
They affirm that despite creating a star-studded front line, Liverpool are prepared to make a bid for superstar Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt. Frankfurt are “expecting” to receive a proposal from the Reds, according to the outlet.
The 24-year-old Muani only recently joined Frankfurt as a free agent. After agreeing to a five-year contract, he has been on a fire in Germany.

Muani has 14 goals and 14 assists to his name in 29 games across all competitions this season. He received a call-up to France’s World Cup squad in Qatar as compensation for such outstanding performances.
France manager, Didier Deschamp, asked the frontman, who often plays as a center forward but can also play on the right side, to be patient.
However, he took his chance when scoring off the bench against Morocco in the semi-final. Deschamps subsequently brought Muani on from the bench in the first half of the pulsating final against Argentina and he was just one of two French players to score in the shoot-out.
It’s been a remarkable rise for the former Nantes man, but via Sport Witness (and also the Liverpool Echo), it’s claimed his rapid rise could see him leave Frankfurt after just one season.
According to reports, the German side thought Muani would stay put until at least 2024. A transfer at the end of the season is, however, “already possible,” according to BILD. The athlete just switched agent, which is a hint that he is preparing to move.
The likes of PSG, Real Madrid, and Manchester United are all mentioned as potential suitors. The Red Devils are reported to be pursuing a high profile striker acquisition with Wout Weghorst no more than a short-term fix.
Another club who would ordinarily be interested inMuani is Bayern Munich. They too require an elite frontman after failing to replace Robert Lewandowski.
But Sky Germany claimed they’re not in the race and that’s a view shared by BILD. Instead, of all the interest parties, it’s remarkably Liverpool who ‘will make an offer’.
Muani was once thought to be worth over €100 million (around £89 million). According to Sport Witness, such a large offer will “more than enough to tempt [Frankfurt] into a sale.”
It’s unclear whether Liverpool and Klopp genuinely need another notable forward. After this season, Roberto Firmino will be a free agent, but negotiations for a new deal are ongoing.
