Liverpool superstar “allowed to leave” as the reds make a very interesting contract call

The liverpool super could leave Liverpool this summer if a new contract isn’t offered as he has just a year left on his contract and isn’t getting any playing time.

Despite having a relatively injury-free 2021/22 season, the 28-year-old only made 17 starts for the Reds in all competitions, with only seven appearances since the turn of the year.

Despite the fact that the midfielder’s 29 appearances are his third-most in a single season for the club, the writing is on the wall for his future.

He was left out of the matchday squad for seven of the last eight Premier League games of the season, and his last appearance was in the FA Cup against Nottingham Forest on March 20.

With one year left on his contract, Oxlade-Chamberlain “will be permitted to leave,” according to Paul Joyce of the New York Times.

Newcastle showed interest in Oxlade-Chamberlain in January, but no deal was made, indicating that there will be contenders for his signing this summer.

While Oxlade-Chamberlain is a squad player for Jurgen Klopp, there is a club where he may prosper and rediscover the groove he’s been looking for since his catastrophic knee injury.

And, despite being put into the attacking line a few times in recent seasons, he’ll be hoping to reclaim his role in his preferred midfield position.

With the club willing to let him go, the No. 15 will know that if he wants to play, he’ll have to search elsewhere before he becomes a free agent next summer.

He’s in a similar situation to Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams, who are also attracting attention due to a desire for regular minutes that they can’t get at Anfield.

It’s up to Oxlade-Chamberlain to make a choice.
