Liverpool could reportedly be in the market for a signing in defence this summer and are considering Nice centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo.

While attempting to sign Thuram from the Ligue 1 team, Liverpool is reportedly also interested in Todibo, according to Nice Matin, as translated by Get French Football News.

Todibo has recently displayed tremendous promise in the French top division. Ben Jacobs recently disclosed in his CaughtOffside column that Manchester United have been monitoring him and that his asking price is likely to be in the neighborhood of €30 million.

Todibo might be a good choice to provide LFC a younger alternative to Virgil van Dijk and Joel Matip, while MUFC might feel the same way about Raphael Varane, who is getting older and more prone to injuries.
