The reds have been offered the chance to sign Atletico Madrid attacker Matheus Cunha.

According to an AS story published before Liverpool signed Luis Diaz, they made an offer to sign Cunha soon after he arrived from Hertha Berlin, but Diego Simeone didn’t want him to leave the team so quickly.

Now that Diaz is expected to miss a significant amount of time, Liverpool might add more offensive reinforcements.

Many clubs will be interested in signing Cunha now that he is a transferable player. He has undoubtedly battled for Atletico at times, but he has stiff competition from a wide range of talented attackers.

Cunha would benefit from a new move away from the team, and Jurgen Klopp might find him to be a desirable choice given his versatility.

Cunha can play through the middle of the attack as well as out wide, so Liverpool may be wise to add cover in these positions.
