(VIDEO) Watch: Liverpool 9-0 Bournemouth Full Match Highlights| Premier League
Liverpool bounced back from their shock defeat at Old Trafford on Monday night in the best possible way by netting nine goals against Bournemouth at Anfield
Jurgen Klopp’s side did not wait for the visitors to settle down as they found themselves two goals up within six minutes thanks to a Luis Diaz header and a fine Harvey Elliott strike.
The Reds continue to press tirelessly and wing-back, Trent Alexander-Arnold found the top corner from 25 yards in the 28th minute.
Roberto Firmino was on hand to volley home a deflected cross three minutes later before Virgil van Dijk headed home an Andy Robertson corner right on half-time to make it 4-0.
Chris Mepham scored an own goal straight after the break and the onslaught continued with Brazilian Firmino adding his second just after the hour to make it seven.
Fabio Carvalho opened his goal record in the colours of Liverpool as he sent a beautiful volley past Mark Travers in the Bournemouth goal in the 80th minute and Diaz completed the rout five minutes later with another header from a Tsimikas corner.
With the victory over Bournemouth, Liverpool have now recorded their first win in the Premier League this season and next for the Merseyside is the match against Newcastle at Anfield on Wednesday.
