Thomas Tuchel names the only Chelsea player that impressed him against Watford.
Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has revealed that Kai Havertz was the only Chelsea player to have impressed him in Wednesday’s Premier League victory over Watford.
Chelsea came away with a 2-1 victory over Claudio Ranieri’s side securing all important three points.
The Blues looked disorganized, lackluster, yet goals from Mason Mount and Hakim Ziyech proved enough for Thomas Tuchel’s side to leave Hertfordshire with victory and remain top of the Premier League.
Despite the poor showing by Tuchel’s men, the German was able to single out Kai Havertz for praise.
Speaking at a post-match conference after the game “Havertz was very strong today,” Tuchel told Amazon Prime.
“I felt he was the one player reaching his level today. We missed some players.”
He added, “We had some players overloaded. We stole three points. We don’t have to talk around it. For the first time, it feels like a lucky win.”
The victory ensures Chelsea remains top on the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City and Liverpool who also recorded wins last night.
