Man United news: United set to seal the deal for Zinedine Zidane as  replacement for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United are ‘stepping up their bid’ to land Zinedine Zidane as their next manager to replace battled Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, according to reports.

Solskjaer has been under huge pressure following Man United’s poor run of form before the break.

The Red Devils have lost five of their last nine games, with four of them in the Premier League.

United are currently in the 6th position on the Premier League table with 17 points from 11 games. shocking home defeats to rivals Liverpool and Manchester City have led to calls for Solskjaer’s sacking.

Antonio Conte was identified as a potential candidate before he joined Tottenham Hotspurs, Also Leicester City  Brendan Rodgers and Ajax’s Erik ten Hag have been tipped to replace the Norwaygein.

However, in a recent report Ajax boss Erik ten Hag has insisted he is ready to remain with the Dutch club for as long as they want him.

Sunday Times reports that United are now set to appoint Zinedine Zidane as Solskjaer’s replacement.

According to the reports Former Real Madrid manager, Zinedine Zidane is ‘unsure’ about taking the job, but claims the United bosses are ‘hopeful’ the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane, two of his former players will persuade him to join United.
