Liverpool & Manchester United In Battle To Sign Jude Bellingham
Borussia Dortmund midfielder is expected to leave in the summer of 2023 with top clubs hustling his signature
According to reports, Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham is being targeted by Liverpool and Manchester United.
The 19-year-old has been the center of ongoing transfer rumors lately, with Liverpool and Real Madrid previously being linked.
Anfield chiefs reportedly made a bid for England international Bellingham in the summer, but they were informed there was no chance he would be sold during the same transfer window after they sold Erling Haaland to Manchester City.
According to the Metro (via FourFourTwo) who cite Sky Sports Germany, whilst Manchester United are interested, the fact that Liverpool have been long-term admirers of the player may be to their advantage.
The report also claims that Bellingham is ‘almost assured to leave Borussia Dortmund in 2023’.
All signs point to Liverpool waiting for Bellingham as the reason they haven’t made any midfield reinforcements.
The risk with that strategy is still that they might get outbid or the player might choose a different club.
