Liverpool set to sign star been monitoring and seen as cheaper Jude Bellingham alternative

Borussia Dortmund and England star Jude Bellingham has been linked with a move to Liverpool, as manager Jurgen Klopp is looking to reshuffle his team ahead of next season.

Liverpool’s midfield is expected to undergo a big change this summer after manager Jurgen Klopp acknowledged last month that they “need players.”

James Milner, Naby Keita, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, for example, all have contracts that expire at the end of the current campaign and are eligible for free agency. According to Klopp, “We need players, we cannot go with only three midfielders into a season.” Although we rely on teenagers like Stefan Bajcetic and Harvey Elliot, it does not follow that we aren’t going to take a look in the summer.

“The challenge for us with the changes we have made now or over the next few years we have always replaced a sensational player or formation, because the boys are just that good. That is how it is but that doesn’t mean we don’t have to make changes.”

Jude Bellingham, a star for Borussia Dortmund and England, has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield because Klopp sees the youngster as a key component of his team’s rebuilding strategy. However, with Bellingham being one of the most sought-after players in football, they will have to contend with fierce competition from a number of other clubs.

Additionally, Liverpool is keeping an eye on a number of other midfielders, notably Alex Scott of Bristol City. The 19-year-old has been a consistent starter in the Championship for the past two seasons, and several Premier League teams are interested in signing him.

Alex Scott

According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool’s chief scout Barry Hunter and head of recruitment Dave Fallows both watched Scott in action for England’s Under 20s’ 2-0 victory over Germany last month.

The teenager has excelled in the heart of Bristol City’s midfield and earned praise from the likes of Pep Guardiola, Roy Keane and Jack Grealish following the Robins’ 3-0 defeat to Manchester City in the FA Cup .

Guardiola called Scott an “unbelievable player”, while Grealish said he was a “top, top talent.” Keane, meanwhile, compared him to Grealish, telling ITV : “I have seen him play a lot of times and he is a top footballer.

“You can see that he has a Jack Grealish about his play. He has been brilliant to watch.”
