Liverpool transfer news: Liverpool set to battle Manchester United for £36m rated Serie A star

Liverpool are willing to offer around £36million to seal the deal for Inter Milan star Marcelo Brozovic according to reports.

Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic has been a key member of the Serie A Champions but is now close to the end of his contract at San Siro.

A number of clubs including Liverpool, and Manchester United Newcastle United have reportedly indicated an interest in the Croatia international, and clubs are hoping to sign him in the January transfer window.

Inter Milan will be keen on not losing him on free amid financial Crisis in the club, that has forced them to sell two of their star players in Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi in the summer.

According to transfer news, Liverpool are eager to improve the depth of their squad this winter, and Brozovic is one of Jurgen Klopp’s main targets.

This makes sense for the Reds, as they lost Georginio Wijnaldum to PSG for free in the summer and have since failed to replace him.

Brozovic seems ideal in helping to fill the void left by Wijnaldum, and £36 million looks very reasonable fee to pay for the 28-year-old.
