Liverpool set to beat Arsenal to sign Sweden International £34m rated Forward Alexander Isak in the January transfer window.

Liverpool are set to make an offer for Real Sociedad Striker Alexander Isak ahead of rivals Arsenal in the January transfer window.

The Reds are willing to make an offer that could hit £34m for the forward according to reports in Spain.

The 22-year-Old  has a huge €90m release clause, is also targeted by Barcelona, but Real Sociedad knows that figure will be almost unthinkable to get.

The Sweden international impressed at the Euro 2020 and was unlucky not to score, although he grabbed two assists in his four games.

His 17 league goals in 2020-21 helped Real Sociedad to finish fifth on the La Liga table and he has five goals in 13 games in all competitions this season.

Arsenal are looking for Alexandre Lacazette’s replacement and have multiple names on their wish list including Alexander Isak, Dusan Vlahovic, and Andrea Belotti.

However, Isak seems to be a top priority for the Gunners according to reports from Spanish media.

According to El Nacional, Liverpool are plotting a move for Isak to strengthen their forward line in January.

Alexander Isak

Isak is an out-and-out striker and Jurgen Klopp is looking for an alternative for his current forwards.

Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations in January means  Klopp will be short of forwards and Isak may well be the only solution.

Isak has a contract with the Spanish club until 2026 with a buyout clause that tells you how highly he is rated in San Sebastian.
