Liverpool next big signing emerges as Jurgen Klopp ‘wants’ Manchester United and Real Madrid target

Liverpool continue to be linked with a move for RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol

RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol is reportedly still a target for the Reds along with the likes of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Man City

Since his World Cup performances for Croatia, the Reds have reportedly expressed interest in signing the player. Gvardiol has been linked with some of Europe’s top teams due to his recent form, including Liverpool.

Alongside Liverpool, Gvardiol has drawn links to Manchester United, Manchester City, and Real Madrid. A new report has since updated information on the center-back’s future.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool are “in the running” to sign Gvardiol this summer. It has also been reported that Jurgen Klopp is “pushing” the club to invest in signing Gvardiol at the end of the season.

The report goes further to say that Gvardiol is viewed as an ideal defensive partner for Virgil van Dijk. However, it has not been reported how much Liverpool would need to pay to sign the centre-back this summer.

Liverpool currently have Van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Nat Phillips as their centre-back options. As well as midfielder, rumours seem to be gathering pace linking the club with a new defender this summer.
