Liverpool have held talks with OGC Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram over a potential transfer, according to FootballTransfers.com.

Thuram, who is 6 feet 4 inches tall, would be a powerful presence in Klopp’s midfield.

Liverpool currently appears rather weak in the middle of the field and appears unable to make a tackle.

As a result, the 21-year-old would slot in perfectly, perhaps coming in for the tired-looking Fabinho in the defensive midfield position.

Son of France legend Lilian Thuram, the youngster’s brother, Marcus – who plays for Borussia Monchengladbach, has also been linked with a move to Anfield in recent times.

However, it now appears the younger of the two brothers is the likelier target for the Reds to pursue, as they navigate a crisis in their midfield.

Thuram has played in every single Ligue 1 and Europa Conference League fixture for Nice this season.

At age 21, it seems the Frenchman would be the best fit for Liverpool, who need to add a reliable player to their lineup in the middle of the park.
