“Liverpool Exposed”- Liverpool accused of making ‘cheat offer’ as Jude Bellingham transfer race heats up

Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham has been linked with a summer move away from the Bundesliga side, and Liverpool remains very much interested in the youngster.

By promising Jude Bellingham’s father a postion with the team, Liverpool has been charged with making a “cheat offer” in the race to sign the England star.

Bellingham has been linked with a summer departure from his current club Borussia Dortmund after performing well for the Three Lions at the 2022 World Cup.

The 19-year-old has long been admired by Jurgen Klopp’s Reds, but they may have to contend with teams like Real Madrid and Manchester City, despite recent claims from Carlo Ancelotti.

Fresh reports, however, have indicated the Merseyside club are prepared to offer the midfielder’s father Mark a scouting job with the club. The Reds are also said to be keeping tabs on Jude’s younger brother Jobe, currently at Birmingham City, and the Spanish media do not seem delighted by the developments.

Spanish publication Nacional (via football365 ) has described the plan from Liverpool as a ‘cheat offer’ aimed at blowing Real Madrid out of the water. The outlet has also referred to Los Blancos’ ‘advanced’ talks over Bellingham.

Along with promising Bellingham a spot in the team, Liverpool is reportedly willing to pay Bellingham more than Real Madrid. Although there is a clear opening in the Reds’ midfield for the England star, he would have to beat out World Cup champions Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga to secure a starting position at the Bernabeu on a long-term basis.

As long as there is talk, Bellingham is rumored to have scheduled meetings with Dortmund regarding his long-term future. He has a deal with the Bundesliga team until 2025, and it’s claimed that Dortmund wants more than £100 million for the star.

Bellingham has excelled for both club and country this year. His nine goals for Dortmund this season are already a career-high, and he scored his first goal at the World Cup for his country against Iran.

Given that Liverpool had paid a lot of money in January to bring Cody Gakpo to Anfield, any transfer for Jude Bellingham seems unlikely to happen until the summer. Over the weekend, the Dutch international made his club debut by playing 84 minutes of the FA Cup tie against Wolves.
