Liverpool in pole position to sign the Excellent £16m rated ‘next N’Golo Kante’ better than Thiago Alcantara as ideal Naby Keita replacement who Jurgen klopp backs to shine at Anfield
Liverpool transfer target is a top class midfielder who likes N’Golo Kanté and was trusted as a teen to man-mark Lionel Messi is being linked with a move to Liverpool. In light of Naby Keta’s doubt, it makes sense.
The Liverpool midfield transfer debate is getting more intense. The topic of Naby Keta’s future has once again risen to the top of the list of priorities.

There are also legitimate concerns about the age profile of the current group of players Jürgen Klopp can choose from, even when everyone is healthy.
The list of potential suitors for Caicedo includes Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, and Atlético Madrid, with the potential for Caicedo’s transfer value to climb.
In February 2021, Brighton acquired him from Independiente del Valle, rejecting Manchester United’s offer to sign the young South American player at the time. They appear to have realized their error by this point.
The player ultimately cost the Seagulls only £4.5 million, but those who had observed him the most agreed that if he had come from a more illustrious footballing nation than Ecuador, the sum might have been ten times higher.
A more relevant comparison would be Naby Keta, who Caicedo idolized as a child and who he bases his game on.
This is especially intriguing given the recent rumors surrounding the Guinean midfielder.
Caicedo, a midfielder who initially tended to be more defensively oriented, has evolved over the past several seasons.
Since the age of 18, when he scored his first goal for Ecuador, he has been a regular for that team.
At the age of 19, he was given the responsibility of man-marking Lionel Messi when Ecuador played Argentina in a World Cup qualifying match (a role he did successfully: Messi scored, but only from the penalty spot).
Caicedo is a naturally gifted football player who is adept at seeing angles and open areas to receive the ball and advance it across the field.
Perhaps the greatest way to describe his dynamism is the fact that he was the man who made the most effective tackles and chances generated in the resounding victory Brighton earned at Old Trafford on the first day of the season.
Given that Fabinho is Liverpool’s lone defensive midfielder and that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, James Milner, and Keta’s long-term prospects are still uncertain, a midfielder who can play as a six and an eight is clearly appealing.
