“It is tough decision but I’d like to join…” – Watch £55m Liverpool target makes final transfer decision as jurgen klopp is urged to sign him to compete with ‘phenomenal’ Manchester City squad
Kevin Campbell, a former Arsenal striker, has advised Liverpool to pursue Leroy Sane, a former Manchester City winger.
Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano asserted that both the Reds and Manchester United are keeping an eye on the Bayern Munich wizard’s position in his column for CaughtOffside.
According to Campbell, there is still room on Jurgen Klopp’s team for a player of the former Manchester City winger’s talent.
Sane, according to the former Arsenal striker, might be useful for the Reds during their difficult and lengthy campaign. To Football Insider, he said:
“I think there is room for Leroy Sane at Liverpool. We all know that is all about the squad these days.
“There is going to be injuries, loss of form and back-to-back league and Champions League games.”
“You need to be able to flip your squad so everybody is fresh. If it was Diaz one game and Sane the next. I’m sure Liverpool fans would be happy with that.”
According to Campbell, Manchester City have a very deep roster, therefore the Reds could be able to compete with them if they sign Sane. Added him:
“Many teams would love that strength in depth, let’s be honest. I think it would be a smart move to go for Sane.
“When you look at the way City are, their bench is phenomenal. It is incredible the strength in depth they have.”
“You need to match that to compete with them. It is frightening. With five subs it can make a huge difference.”
