Jurgen Klopp makes Manchester City claim and sends a warning message to Liverpool
Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp has revealed that it is very likely that Manchester City will be their opponent in most competitions now.
The German tactician made it clear that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will not find it easy to win against his Liverpool side.
Klopp was speaking following Liverpool’s quarter-final win against Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup on Sunday.
The Reds booked their place in the semi-finals of the competition and will now take on City.
Both sides are set to face off against each other at least twice in Premier League and FA Cup and possibly a third time in the Champions League semi-final first leg before May.
Speaking after the win over Nottingham Forest Jurgen Klopp told the club’s official website “Before the game, [we knew] obviously City would be the opponents if you want to go to the final anyway. The further you go in whichever competition, it is likely you will face City at one point.
“And this year that you will face us at one point, I don’t think we are the dream draw for anybody.
“But it will be a tough one, we have to make sure we make it tough for City as well. There are a lot of games to play before then.”
The rivalry between City and Liverpool will likely go on for edges, even though Man City may have won the Premier League more than the Reds under Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola’s reign.
Liverpool will not allow City to run away with the titles this season and are set to give them a tough time on all sides.
