The transfer saga was always going to be unpredictable, but it seems like Jude Bellingham may have moved further away from Anfield with his most recent apparent choice.

According to AS (via BBC Sport): “Despite interest from Liverpool, Manchester City, and Manchester United, England midfielder Jude Bellingham want to join Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund.”

We can only take every “update” with a large grain of salt because any contract for the 19-year-old is unlikely to be finalized until the summer, which means there will undoubtedly be a ton of reports about him up to that point.

This report was published by a Spanish news source, therefore it may have been utilized for the sole reason of trying to keep Real Madrid in the race for the signature of the talented England international and may not ring true at all.

But the truth is that we don’t know where the Borussia Dortmund man’s heart and mind are right now, and we probably won’t until we see him decked out in that team’s colors and carrying their scarf above his head.

For the time being, we can only hope that the Reds are still in the running to sign the Birmingham-born kid and cross our fingers that the team is competitive enough on the field and financially sound enough to be able to sign him.
