Liverpool have reached an agreement on a club-record move for striker Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool is thought to be in ‘advanced talks’ with Benfica for the signing of Darwin Nunez.

The Reds have been widely connected with the Uruguayan in recent weeks, as they look to enhance their attack following Sadio Mane’s possible departure.

Nunez was a revelation for Benfica this season, scoring 34 goals in all competitions, including a Champions League goal against Liverpool.

However, according to ESPN, Liverpool appears to be winning the race and is currently in ‘advanced talks.’

According to the source, no agreement has been reached yet, but talks are ongoing over a club-record contract of £68.1 million upfront and a further £17 million in add-ons. The current record trade is £75 million for Virgil van Dijk.

Almeria, Nunez’s old club, is expected to get up to 20% of any potential trade.

Liverpool are not thought to have reached an agreement at this time, but conversations look to be going well.
