“He’s on the same level as Kevin de Bruyne” – Manchester United £75m midfield target receives glowing verdict from teammate
Lazio skipper Captain Ciro Immobile has showered praise on long-time Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, insisting that he is on the same level as Manchester City maestro Kevin de Bruyne.
The 2022–23 Lazio star has played in 12 games in all competitions, with four goals and seven assists. He has contributed to 11 goals, 10 of which (3 goals, 7 assists) have come in Serie A, helping Lazio move up to third in the standings.

One of the best midfielders on the planet is City superstar De Bruyne, but Milinkovic-Savic, in Immobile’s opinion, is equally as talented as the Belgian. Immobile (through Fabrizio Romano) discussed the Manchester United target in the following way:
“Trust me, Sergej Milinković-Savić is magic. He’s on the same level of Kevin de Bruyne.”
For many years, Milinkovic-Savic has been connected to a transfer to United, but nothing has come of it.
The Serbian footballer, whose contract expires in June 2024, may go next summer, according to the Manchester Evening News, with United being mentioned as a potential destination.
The 27-year-old Milinkovic-Savic is said to get along well with the Lazio president Claudio Lotito and the football director Igli Tare, and he might persuade them to let him go.
Romano claims that Lazio are seeking at least €75 million in order to sell their prized treasure.
