Man United transfer: Fabrizio Romano’s gives a honest verdict on Cristiano Ronaldo potentially leaving Man United for MLS transfer

Fabrizio Romano strongly believes that if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves Manchester United it will most likely be for another team in Europe.

Fabrizio Romano made it clear that Ronaldo has preferred to stay in Europe, despite rumors of a potential move to the Major League Soccer and an offer from a Saudi Arabian club during the summer, in his exclusive CaughtOffside column on Substack.

Ronaldo has had a difficult season at Manchester United and might choose to leave the team if he wants to play more frequently in his remaining years of competition.

Despite having a strong season in front of goal last year, Ronaldo has struggled to find admirers in Europe who can afford to pay his salaries this year under new manager Erik ten Hag.

“I’ve been asked about stories about the MLS, but Cristiano Ronaldo’s priority has always been to continue in Europe,” Romano said.

“He was approached by a club in Saudi Arabia in August but he wanted to continue in Europe. As of now, there are still no different indications.

“I’m sure his agent will explore the market in the next 1-2 months and we will see what happens.”

Ronaldo will turn 38 in February, but it seems likely that some teams would be willing to take a chance on him as a short-term solution.

However, from the perspective of Manchester United, things are not looking good for Cristiano Ronaldo, who appears to be concluding his fantastic time with the Red Devils on a somewhat depressing note as Ten Hag attempts to reassemble this team around younger players.
