France 2-1 England: Watch Kylian Mbappe’s reaction to Harry Kane’s missed penalty for England
England was defeated by the reigning World Cup champions, France, and is therefore out of the 2022 tournament.
The quarterfinal tie was expected to be the contest between two European powerhouses, and it did not dissapoint.
In the 17th minute, France controversially seized the lead.
When Dayot Upamecano collided with Bukayo Saka, England believed they should have been called for a foul.
Aurélien Tchouaméni scored a fantastic goal from 25 yards away 45 seconds after Saka was not given a foul. France had just taken the lead.
Minutes later, when Harry Kane was brought to the ground by Upamecano, the Three Lions believed they should have been awarded a penalty kick, but both the referee and VAR disagreed.
Another chance to equalise and this time Kane isn't so lucky!
