“I am not scared, i’m ready!” – Kylian Mbappe drops major hint over Liverpool transfer stance after PSG U-turn

After reassuring Paris Saint-Germain of his commitment, Kylian Mbappe has put an end to rumors of a transfer to Liverpool.

The French forward has frequently been linked with a move to Anfield, especially this summer as his contract at Parc des Princes was coming to an end.

Mbappe was being pursued by Real Madrid, a powerhouse in Spain, but he ultimately chose to sign a new deal with PSG.

The 23-year-old signed a lucrative three-year contract in the French capital, but that hasn’t stopped rumors that he might leave sooner rather than later in order to add the Champions League to his already-overflowing trophy collection.

Despite this, Mbappe has asserted that he can achieve his goals with his current employers and does not require a transfer.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, the Frenchman said: “You can stay here [PSG] to have success.

“For us it’s a big message, because when I announced I stay, a lot of things change in the mentality of people. People start to say, ‘Yeah, we don’t need to go out. You don’t need to leave the country.’ ”

Mbappe first came to PSG in the summer of 2017 while on loan from Ligue 1 rivals Monaco.

The forward, who was born in Paris, has subsequently made 236 appearances for the team and has won four Ligue 1 championships, three French Cups, and two League Cups.

He has persisted in waxing lyrical about his current employers and clarified the specifics of his decision to reject a summer transfer to Real Madrid.

“I’m not scared. I’m ready,” he continued. “I always talk about my ambition, what I want to do, and now it’s time.

“In Paris, the book is fully white. What an opportunity! You have to think differently.”

“Of course, it was easier to go to Madrid. But I have this ambition. I’m French. I’m a child of Paris, and to win in Paris, it’s something really special—really special. It writes your name in the history of your country for life.”
