The Reds’ performance at Brentford in the first half was terrible, to put it mildly, but it only took them five minutes to halve the deficit when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain headed in a superb Trent Alexander-Arnold cross.

Moments before, Darwin Nunez had scored with a deft finish past David Raya, but VAR had disallowed the Uruguayan’s attempt for offside.

At halftime, Jurgen Klopp made three replacements, and he will be pleased with how his team has performed in the first 45 minutes of the second half.

The Ox flicked the ball in the direction of goal and beyond the Spaniard in the hosts’ net on a lovely whipped delivery from our No. 66.
