This summer, there have been numerous rumors linking Yeremy Pino to Liverpool. Fabrizio Romano has now provided a new update on the situation.

The Italian journalist said on the Here We Go Podcast (via HITC):

“Many questions on Yeremy Pino. We have many rumours, it’s one of many players followed by Arsenal, but also by other clubs, for example, I am told that Chelsea have been tracking Yeremy Pino and now they are on (Anthony) Gordon.

“Pino is a player they have been watching for a long time.

“Liverpool have sent scouts to watch Pino many, many times in the past year. Top English clubs have been following him.”

Although the 19-year-old would undoubtedly be a compelling offer for us, it seems highly improbable that Jurgen Klopp would need or desire to add another winger to our roster.

The reds could add a young or marginal player to the present roster given the abundance of alternatives already available, but we shouldn’t spend a lot of money on a guy who wouldn’t see much action when we already have a number of healthy and qualified forward options.

Many of our supporters are calling for the addition of a new midfielder to the team.

As Liverpool prepare for the match against Manchester United, concerns over Thiago Alcantara, Curtis Jones, and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have pushed some fans to want a new signing.

Yeremy Pino is not expected to join Liverpool, whether or not they are active again in this transfer window.
