Liverpool Luis Diaz sends heartfelt message to fans after scoring his first premier league goal
Liverpool Fc new Signing Luis Diaz has announced Anfield his “new home” after scoring for the first time on Anfield as Liverpool saw off Norwich City in a 3-1 home win.
The Reds trailed from behind against the Canaries, who took a surprise early goal in the second half.
However, all Liverpool front three stepped up in front of goal with Diaz completing the win as he notched with nine minutes remaining.
Jordan Henderson’s excellent cross found the winger, who cooly dinked it to score in front of the goalie.
It was the Colombian international first goal since his January move from Porto and he made his feelings clear on social media.
He said on Instagram: “Very happy to score my first goal at my new home”
Diaz started for Liverpool with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah completing the front three.
The new Signing has now played four times in reds colors with Jurgen Klopp deploying him in a central role.
The German said: “We saw now two games when Luis played – came on or played – where he was absolutely incredible.
“Today it was hard work for him as well, it was a tricky one, a tricky encounter.
“So then staying on the pitch, staying in the game shows then the real quality because we changed system and brought Luis in the centre and Sadio in his natural position.
“Sadio scored anyway in the center but Luis makes this wonderful run in the centre as well. It’s good, he’s just an outstanding talent, a really, really good player.
“I think he is very happy tonight. He should be.”

The premier league leaders lost late on against Tottenham which means, should the Reds win their game in hand, they will be just three points behind Manchester City.
Diaz’s arrival provides a fresh injection to a team whose squad continues to look stronger and stronger.
Klopp also has Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino to pick from as the Reds remain fighting on all four fronts.
The Liverpool boss added on their current quadruple charge: “We never had it before, that we are in all four competitions. That’s absolutely incredible and we really enjoy that.
“And long may it continue because that means we can play a lot of football games. That’s what we love most.
“But it’s not easy for the boys and that’s exactly why we changed today seven times because I expect from the boys that they listen when I tell them that the next game we play is absolutely the most important game we’ve ever played.”
