Liverpool fans hail Luis Diaz following”electric” performance against Leicester City

Several Liverpool fans have taken to social media in their numbers on Thursday evening, to heap praise on January addition Luis Diaz.

The Reds welcomed Brendan Rodgers’ struggling Leicester City to Anfield, for the Thursday night Premier League clash.

Liverpool headed into the game aware that nothing but a win would be enough after Manchester City further stretched their advantage atop the English top-flight on Wednesday after a 2-0 downing of Brentford.

Diogo Jota bagged a brace taking his season tally to 17 and help Jurgen Klopp’s side secure all three points against the foxes.

It was not the name of goalscorer Jota which, throughout the game, has taken center stage in the chatter amongst Liverpool’s supporters.

Rather, it was been reserved for attacking partner in crime Luis Diaz.

The Columbia international was handed his first Premier League start on the left of Liverpool’s attacking trio against Leicester in the absence of Sadio Mane, Diaz has wasted little time in making an impression on the Anfield faithful.

The Colombia international, who was full of running up and down the left wing with pace and intent, has been widely acclaimed for his efforts thus far, with one word in particular used to describe the feat of Liverpool’s January signing.

Several Liverpool fans took to social media describing Diaz as “Electric”
