Watch Liverpool chiefs FSG Slammed over “unacceptable” Mohamed Salah decision as he takes his final transfer decision
Since contract negotiations have dragged on, Liverpool now faces the possibility of losing Mohamed Salah for nothing next summer.
Jamie O’Hara criticized Liverpool for the way they handled Mohamed Salah’s contract dispute.

The Egyptian has been a star since joining Anfield, but he is now entering the final year of his contract, giving him the option to go for free next summer.
Contract negotiations continued for much of the previous season as Salah demanded a raise that would force the team to drastically alter its wage structure.
Liverpool is at a standstill with the player and his agents because they are hesitant to do this.
Salah, who recently won a third Golden Boot, has established himself as one of the top players in the world for Merseyside and demands a pay to match.
Sadio Mane just left for Bayern Munich after recently trying to get a pay raise but failing to do so.
The Senegalese superstar allowed the Reds to turn a profit, but if a new contract cannot be reached with Salah in the near future, Salah will be lost for nothing.
Given how effectively the club has conducted itself in recent years, O’Hara has called that situation “unacceptable.”
He told TalkSport on Salah: “He’s going into the final year of his contract, still hasn’t signed a new deal, you’ve seen Mane leave.
“Now they recouped their money with Mane – good bit of business. He’d been at the football club, wanted to go in the end for whatever reasons, which will come out but I’m sure it was down to money.
“Now Salah could go on a free – that is unacceptable. Liverpool have set the benchmark for how to do business as a football club and they’ve done it brilliantly.
“But they’ve got to get this sorted out because Mo Salah cannot leave that football club on a free.”
Salah has said he’ll continue at Anfield for the upcoming season, but he hasn’t indicated how long. Although there would undoubtedly be buyers if the player were put on the market, Liverpool has showed no desire to move him.
Before the Champions League final, the Egyptian said:
“I have a contract until season so I’ll be staying until then.” He was then quizzed on whether that meant he would sign a new deal, but replied: “No, not yet, nothing at all.”
Salah has scored 156 goals since relocating to Anfield, but Liverpool’s attack has been strengthened recently. Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and most recently Darwin Nunez were signed during the past 24 months for a club-record amount from Benfica.
