(Video); Watch Jurgen Klopp reveals how he may already have found Sadio Mane’s big-game replacement at Liverpool
Sadio Mane, a Senegal international, left Anfield after six years to join Bayern Munich, and the Reds fans are still in shock over having to say goodbye to a club legend.
Darwin Nunez, a forward from Uruguay, cost Liverpool £80 million, but that hasn’t made Sadio Mane’s departure any less painful.
The six years the former Southampton player spent playing in front of the Kop crowd saw him light up Anfield.

Mane became one of the Premier League’s most dangerous big-game players during that time, scoring memorable goals against the Reds’ championship rivals as well as in the closing stages of the Champions League.
The 30-year-old had the remarkable quality of always showing up when his team needed him the most, as evidenced by his remarkably calm goal against rival championship contenders Bayern Munich or all of his goals against Manchester City.
One of his many great qualities will be missed by Jurgen Klopp and company now that he now works in Munich’s red district rather than Merseyside.
They might not have to search very far, though, to find another player who has a tendency for chipping in when it counts.
Ever since he originally joined the team in a £40 million transfer from fellow Premier League team Wolves, Diogo Jota has quietly gone about his business. Although he doesn’t appear to get the same level of attention
When it comes to the greatest occasion, the young Portugal international has an incredible track record.
Jota has scored goals at Old Trafford, the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, and the Emirates since joining in 2020.
A hat-trick against Atalanta and goals against Atletico Madrid round out the 25-year-compelling old’s case for starting more frequently.
But now that Mane has left, securing his spot in Klopp’s starting eleven might not be as easy as comparing his record to the teams in Liverpool’s neighborhood.
Nunez’s arrival has created a clear first-choice attacking three for the Reds, and Jota is not a part of it.
December signing The left wing that Luis Diaz has claimed as his own since moving from Porto at the start of the year will be his.
On the other flank, Mohamed Salah is as secure as anyone could possible be, but it makes the most sense for the club-record signing to assume his normal position in the middle.
Jota will then need to use the opportunities he does have to play his way into the starting eleven to push Klopp’s hand throughout the course of the season.
The former Wolf star has one advantage over those ahead of him in that he is extremely adaptable.
Anywhere along the front line, Jota can be used and perform flawlessly.
