According to 90min, Liverpool has set a £10 million price tag on the reds superstar Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (via The Hard Tackle).
The Reds are apparently willing to let the former Arsenal star leave this summer, with West Ham United and Manchester United reportedly keen in signing him.
Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool for £35 million from Arsenal in 2017. He had a good first season, but was injured in the UEFA Champions League semifinals that season. It was a big setback for his promising Liverpool career.
He returned to the club a few games later the following season, but was unable to establish himself as a regular starter. He has appeared in 133 games for the Reds, scoring 17 goals and assisted on another 15. His total time on the field, though, is 6074 minutes, implying that he has averaged slightly over 45 minutes each appearance.
Liverpool may have realized that the English midfielder has only one year left on his contract, and that he does not have a long-term future with the club.
Oxlade-Chamberlain, though, still has the ability to turn his career around at the age of 28.
A move to West Ham or Manchester United might be able to help him resurrect his career. Oxlade-Chamberlain has also made 35 England appearances, scoring seven goals and assisting on six occasions.
