Liverpool kept their bid for a top-four finish alive as two late goals earned them a 2-0 Premier League win over Wolves at Anfield.

The Reds’ hopes of a late push for Champions League qualification looked set to be dented again as they headed into the final 20 minutes with nothing but a disallowed Darwin Nunez strike to show for their efforts

However, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah struck in quick succession to claim an important three points ahead of a weekend clash with Manchester United.

As for Wolves, they were left unable to continue improving their position after recent improvement under Julen Lopetegui, though they remain three points above the relegation zone.
