Toni Kroos makes bold claim regarding Liverpool after Real Madrid’s 14th UEFA Champions League triumph

Following the 2022 UEFA Champions League final, Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos took a dig at Liverpool.

After defeating Liverpool 1-0 in the final in Paris on May 28, Carlo Ancelotti’s squad won their 14th European Cup.

Kroos conceded that Jurgen Klopp’s team had far more scoring opportunities than Real Madrid.

However, the German midfielder believes that in the larger scheme of things, those figures are irrelevant because the Spanish team finally won.

Toni Kroos was cited as stating the following on the Einfach mal Luppen podcast (through the Madrid Zone on Twitter):

“Liverpool had a few more chances. I don’t give a sh*t. We won the game.”

He added:
“Finals are for winning and that’s what we did.”

The victory meant that Toni Kroos has now won five Champions Leagues in his illustrious career.
