Liverpool FC have been sent a message that Bayern Munich forward Leroy Sane would be a good signing this summer

The transfer window is still open for another two weeks, and the Reds are still being associated with a number of prospective new players.

Darwin Nunez, Calvin Ramsay, and Fabio Carvalho have already been approved for transfers by Jurgen Klopp, and this summer’s incoming business has reportedly been completed, according to club sources.

Although the need for reinforcements in the midfield has received the most attention, one expert believes that Liverpool may benefit from bringing in a new player up front.

Kevin Campbell, a former Everton player, said that Liverpool would be prudent to think about acquiring Sane this summer.

The former Manchester City forward would blend very well at Anfield, continued Campbell.

“I think there is room for Leroy Sane at Liverpool,” Campbell told Football Insider.

“We all know that is all about the squad these days. There is going to be injuries, loss of form and back-to-back league and Champions League games. You need to be able to flip your squad so everybody is fresh.

“If it was Diaz one game and Sane the next… I’m sure Liverpool fans would be happy with that. Many teams would love that strength in depth, let’s be honest.

“I think it would be a smart move to go for Sane.

“When you look at the way City are, their bench is phenomenal. It is incredible the strength in depth they have.

“You need to match that to compete with them. It is frightening. With five subs it can make a huge difference.”
